Happy Birthday to our beautiful country! We spent the day in Washington D.C. The crowds on the Metro were large but we braved them to get to the National Zoo where we saw these beautiful creatures.
Then we, along with everyone else in DC, crowded onto the National Mall to find a spot to watch fireworks.
You'll notice we sat in front of the White House and could see the fun party the people there were having.
Dallin had fun with the camera. He found some sharpshooters on many buildings...

It was so fun...the only thing that could have made the trip better was if Monica had been with us. But she was in Michigan for week with Gammy having a special time alone.
Afterwards, we went back to the Valencias' home and lit up the sparklers...
What a wonderful day! What a wonderful country we live in!
