The little ones got "bored" after a couple hours(how I am beginning to hate that word!) until I told them that the playground was really a mermaid castle! They look at each other in delight and swam off.
Sebastian had been really sick all week with a high fever and extreme headache. This was the first day he hadn't had a fever, but he still had very little energy and only spent about an hour altogether in the water. Most of the time he just lay in the stroller.
The height restriction for the slide was short enough that even Bella could go down. And she did! Many, many times. The first time she went up with Dallin. The lifeguard wasn't convinced she could do it, so Dallin went first to catch her. Of course, she did fine and after that could go as long as someone was supervising her. The water was deeper than she is tall, but she quickly learned that if she flipped on her tummy as soon as she hit the water, she could ride the current into shallower water.
